Mahahual Mexico

Mahahual is a village on the Costa Maya, in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco in the Caribbean coast of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Mahahual has sandy beaches, thatched palapas grass, and the Mesoamerican reef that runs along the coast. One of the main attractions of Mahahual is its proximity to the Chinchorro Bank, a coral atoll declared a nature reserve, and the second barrier reef in the world's largest. This reef is located in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Quintana Roo and Belize, and has a huge biodiversity, extremely attractive to dive into it. It also is surrounded by large tracts of virgin forest.
